My two year old is all of a sudden afraid to go to sleep. The past three nights have been a struggle for my husband and I. Moo, age 3, kinehura decided last week that he wants to sleep in his own bed in his own room.  He's been sleeping in the family bedroom since birth and only in the last year or so transitioned to his own bed, but he usually ended up in the family bed around 4am.

My daughter was doing fabulously with going to sleep for the night. I'd feed her side-lying in bed, so long as it was after 6, and then when she fell asleep, I'd transfer her to the crib we have side-carred to the bed. I think I am finally ready to try harder to get Penny to sleep alone (that means without me having to lay down with her for every nap and when she goes to bed) because it is getting absurd now and at this point I feel like I am doing more harm than good (for her, me, and my DH) by enabling her.

My stepson had to have brain surgery, requiring him to be in the hospital and rehab for two weeks (he's fine now, back at home and is expected to make a full recovery).
